Xbox – Stream
- Victor Marquez
Game streaming can refer to two different things.
The first one involves live streaming your Xbox gameplay to a platform such as Twitch or YouTube. The other one is streaming from a console to a PC or Mac that is connected to the same network.
In this post, we will discuss both ways you can stream using your Xbox.
Quick Summary
We will go over:
- How to Stream to Twitch Using your Xbox?
- How to Stream Xbox One to PC?
So without further ado, let’s get started.
How To Stream To Twitch Using Your Xbox?
Getting started as a streamer can be daunting at first.
Not only is there intense competition but many steps need to be done before you stream. You need to buy the proper equipment, download the necessary software, set up a Twitch channel, and more.
Luckily, with Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S you can surpass some of these steps. This is because Microsoft allows you to stream directly to Twitch using a Twitch streaming app.
Xbox One
The first thing you need to do is download and create an account on the Twitch Xbox App if you don’t already have one.
Twitch is a free app and takes up about 100 MB of storage, so this shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.
After that, you can go ahead and turn on the Game Streaming.
To do this:
- Head to settings
- Click on Preferences
- Select Xbox One Connections
- Broadcast your game
The next step is to connect your Twitch account to your Xbox account.
You can simply do this by:
- Heading to the setting
- Select Twitch on the Xbox app
- Sign in to your account
Now that you have everything set up, you can start streaming.
Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S
Similar to Xbox One, you need to create an account on the Twitch Xbox App to stream on Series X/S.
Once you have your account set up, the next step is to customize the channel.
You can do this by heading to the settings tab and then selecting profile. Here you’ll be able to add your profile picture, banner, and description.
We also suggest you moderate your chatroom to keep things safe and clean for your views. You can do this by selecting moderation in the settings tab.
You can also adjust the stream settings in the broadcast tab to make sure your stream is of the best quality.
Once you’re ready, you can start your stream by selecting the broadcasting option from the main menu.

All you need to do is:
- Go to Settings
- Click on Preference
- Go to Xbox app connectivity and select allow
Note: Before you start, make sure your Xbox One and Windows 10 PC have the most recent system updates installed.
Now that you’ve turned on streaming, you need to download the Xbox app if it’s not already installed on your computer.
To start streaming:
- Turn on your Xbox One
- Launch the Windows 10 Xbox app
- Select the Xbox One icon
- Locate your Xbox One in the list and click on connect
- Select Stream
After you’ve set everything up, it’ll be easier to stream in the future. All you’ll need to do is launch the Xbox app, go to the Xbox One icon, and select stream.
Conclusion
So, what’s the point of streaming Xbox to PC?
Well, this way you can turn any Windows 10 PC into a remote display for Xbox. However, you’ll have to make sure both the devices are connected to the same network.
Moreover, if you have an Xbox 10, you can use its feature Streaming Installation to start streaming as soon as possible. It allows titles to run before they’re completely installed.
